The Western Irish Setter Club holds two specialty shows with sweepstakes competition and obedience trials and two field trials every year. The specialty shows are held in March  with the field trials in April and either late September or early October. An annual puppy match is also a part of the schedule usually in conjunction with a club picnic. Exhibitors and spectators are welcome at all events. For directions or further information, contact the Club President: Jan Ziech On Oct 1st, the Western Irish Setter Club will host a Setter Fun Day at our fall field trial at DesPlaines Wildlife Area just south of Joliet, IL. There will be a morning "Introduction to Hunt Tests", a noon time Fun Match open to all 4 Setter breeds, and an afternoon session on Rally.
