The Western Irish Setter Club holds two specialty shows with sweepstakes competition and obedience trials and two field trials every year. The specialty shows are held in March  with the field trials in April and either late September or early October. An annual puppy match is also a part of the schedule usually in conjunction with a club picnic. Exhibitors and spectators are welcome at all events.
